Priorities of the German G7 Presidency Addressing the impacts that the Russian war of aggression is having in Ukraine and in the BMZ’s partner countries
The Russian war of aggression against Ukraine in violation of international law is having serious consequences – both for Ukrainians and for Ukraine’s neighbouring countries and the partner countries of German development cooperation in the Global South.
The BMZ is endeavouring together with its G7 partners to ensure that every effort is made wherever necessary to alleviate the impacts of the Russian war of aggression, especially with regard to the economic and social reconstruction of Ukraine, and also with regard to growing regional and global food insecurity, challenges in the health sector, and the economic and social repercussions of this aggression.
