Core area “Transformation of agricultural and food systems” Agriculture – key to resilience
The support provided for climate-resilient agricultural production has led to a significant improvement in people's living conditions in target communities. For instance, numerous households have been able to increase their yields and benefit from higher incomes. Measures such as the distribution of seeds and agricultural tools and the provision of training on farming as a business have laid the foundations for sustained value addition.
One important aspect is the diversification of sources of livelihood. In addition to the farming support mentioned, there are also activities to promote alternative sources of income, for example the production of honey. These efforts are strengthening people's resilience against environmental and market risks and helping to achieve long-term food and nutrition security.
