GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit)


The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) was formed on 1 January 2011 through the merger of the three implementing organisations for Technical Cooperation, the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Technische Zusammenarbeit (GTZ), the German Development Service (DED) and InWEnt (Capacity Building International, Germany).

The GIZ operates worldwide in the field of development cooperation. Its purpose is to assist the German government in its development policy activities. It executes Technical Cooperation contracts placed with it by the German government.
