Germany and Senegal open migration advice centre in Dakar

23.01.2018 - Development State Secretary Thomas Silberhorn today will open the new German centre for jobs, migration and reintegration in Senegal's capital Dakar. Alongside services for returnees, staff also provide information for local people on the employment opportunities they have in their home country, especially within the projects of Germany's development cooperation. In addition, the centre provides information on legal options for migration to Germany and raises awareness about the risks involved in irregular migration. more

Because of the region's rapid growth and its huge potential, it is now the EU's third-largest trading partner outside of Europe. And, within the EU, Germany is the most important trading partner of the ASEAN countries – with German goods making up almost a third of all EU exports to the ASEAN region. more
