Success and failure examined:
the evaluation reports
Evaluation reports represent the opinion of the independent evaluation team and not necessarily of the BMZ. In accordance with the principles of transparency, all evaluation reports are accessible to the public. The executive summaries (many in English) are published on this website; full reports (mostly in German) are available upon request.
While most of the evaluations are undertaken under the sole responsibility of the BMZ, increasingly evaluations are being undertaken as a joint effort with other donors, with donor countries and partners sharing management tasks and financing.
