European players and interaction
Drawing up common goals, making policy decisions and finally realising concrete activities in partner countries – there are three main players within the European Union which are currently involved in these duties: the Council, the European Parliament and the European Commission. When the Treaty of Lisbon comes into force, they will be joined by another player, the European External Action Service.
